Australia Counselling is a 100% Australian owned and run company that was created as a resource for all Australians to connect with counsellors and therapists in their local area.
We saw a need for a comprehensive directory where counsellors and psychotherapists can be accessed anywhere, anytime, throughout Australia.
We have registered counsellors and psychotherapists in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Tasmania and many regional areas of Australia.
Our mission is to improve the mental health and quality of life for Australians, no matter where they are, by providing immediate online access to hundreds of professional counsellors and psychotherapists.
Australia Counselling also has hundreds of articles on mental health issues with high-quality information and resources to improve mental health and well-being.
The Australia Counselling Team
Michael Robin, Owner and Manager of Australia Counselling
Michael Robin is a Product Development and Marketing specialist. He is highly experienced in different fields such as Customer Operations, Product Marketing, and the management of large teams of staff. His ability to resolve serious issues that businesses may encounter is what sets him apart from other professionals. He left school early to join the Army where he learnt to lead teams of soldiers in remote and testing field conditions. His military career was followed by twenty-five years working in large IT&T companies in Sydney and the Dubai, where he held senior positions such as NSW State Manager, Customer Operations Manager and Senior Marketing Manager. These days when he is not at the park with his Border Collie, Cooper, or riding his motorcycle, he is glued to a computer screen developing on-line businesses and helping others to do the same.
Clinton Power, Founder of Australia Counselling
Clinton Power, Grad.Dip.Couns/Psych., Ad.Dip.Gestalt Therapy, PACFA Reg., CMGANZ, is a relationship counsellor, Gestalt therapist and the founder of Clinton Power + Associates, which was formed to help singles and couples move out of relationship pain to create loving, healthy and life-affirming relationships. Clinton has a relationship blog and popular newsletter on relationship issues with over 1000 monthly readers. He is the author of the Amazon Kindle eBook 31 Days to Build a Better Relationship, which has been downloaded over 3,000 times.
Clinton saw a need for a high-quality directory of counsellors in Australia, whereby Australians could search for mental health support in their local area. Clinton also envisioned a site where counsellors could improve their marketing skills and their clinical skills through online training and professional development. In 2011, he brought his passion for relationships and technology together to create AustraliaCounselling.com.au, which is Australia’s leading counsellor directory. He was the host of the popular Australia Counselling Podcast, where he interviewed local and internationally renowned psychotherapists and counsellors on a range of clinical and practice-building issues. The podcast ended at 100 episodes. It has been downloaded over 100,000 times and is available in the iTunes store or on the Australia Counselling website for practitioners.
Clinton is regularly interviewed by journalists and the media on relationship and mental health issues and has been quoted in Cosmopolitan, New Weekly, News.com.au, The Sunday Telegraph Body and Soul lift-out, The Daily Telegraph, MSN.com, 3AW Radio, SBS Radio and 2GB Radio.
