I offer a gentle and compassionate approach to counselling and therapy services to adults, children, couples and families.

I am a therapist with over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families. I provide a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment that allows clients to feel at ease in the counselling process. I work to address each individual’s needs by providing a tailored approach that focuses on personal goals and needs.I can assist you to improve your mental health and emotional functioning by exploring the cause of your concern, and working with you to develop coping skills, understanding, insight and emotional clarity.

I am passionate about working with individuals to improve daily functioning, health and emotional wellbeing.

I also offer Clinical Supervision to clinicians looking to extend their learning and reflect on their clinical practice in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Tammy Rosman

Tammy Rosman is the Principal Therapist and Founder of Sydney Family Counselling. A compassionate counsellor, Tammy has over 20 years of experience working in the public health sector, with private Non Government Organisations and in private practice. Tammy has a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of New South Wales and has Mental Accreditation with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Tammy has extensive experience working with all age groups regarding both personal and family issues. Tammy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting issues, child sexual assault, domestic violence, family conflict, relationship issues, eating disorders, bullying and peer relationships, grief and loss, challenging behaviours and more.

Tammy practices from a holistic and systemic perspective utilising evidence based approaches in her work. Tammy works from an integrative approach, utilising various theoretical tools to provide a tailored and individual approach. Tammy integrates tools from a number theoretical perspectives including cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, strengths based approaches, trauma informed practice, attachment theory and family therapy.

Tammy is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers and is registered with Medicare Australia. She is a registered provider of counselling support with Victims Services in NSW. She also offers Clinical Supervision to Social Workers and Counsellors looking to extend their learning and reflective processes in a safe and supportive environment.
