I am a registered counsellor, psychoanalyst and relationship therapist working with individuals and couples in private practice in Carlton, Melbourne.

I have had extensive training, education and experience in both the humanistic and psychoanalytic approaches and methods to working with individuals who are experiencing relationship and/or mental health issues in their lives and also with couples who are going through difficulties within their relationships.

My practice is located at 96 Elgin Street in Carlton and has plenty of free 2 and 4 hour parking available nearby and is easy to get to via public transportation.

Using the non-directive, supportive and empathic approach called free association, I encourage you to speak as freely as possible about everything that is on your mind and through this process, you maybe lead to look at and speak about the many different areas and aspects of your life that previous may not have spoken about before.

Through the method of free association, this may lead you to not only speak about the reasons or difficulties you may be currently experiencing but to also speak about the other areas or factors in your life that may have not been regarded as important to your current situation or unknown to you but contribute to your current difficulties. Some of these areas may include your fears, desires, dreams, past relationships and concerns. Through this therapeutic process, together we can explore all the aspects of your experience in the world in an intimate, encouraging and supportive way.

Working together to explore, understand and to work-through your difficulties is a healing process that can help you rework the way you relate to yourself, your personal history and your personal relationships in the world and the therapeutic relationship that develops during our work together can help you to make deep and long lasting internal transformations.

The process and experience in therapy can assist you to have more fulfilling relationships, make more effective use of your talents and abilities, tolerate a wider range of emotions, have more satisfying sexual experiences, understand yourself and others in more nuanced and sophisticated ways, and face life’s challenges with greater freedom and flexibility.
