Empowered Mind Counselling Service provides a confidential, supportive and affordable counselling and psychotherapy service to children (12 years and over), adolescents, adults, couples and family members. Face-to-face sessions are held at Berwick consulting rooms, or alternatively Phone and Zoom counselling (for adults) is provided Australia Wide.

Michelle is the Director/Counsellor of Empowered Mind Counselling Service (EMCS) and has over 16 years practical counselling experience and more than 21 years working in the field of mental health. Michelle holds a Bachelors degree in Behavioural Science (psychology major; Monash University), Postgraduate Certificate in Forensic Mental Health (James Cook University) and a Masters degree in Mental Health Science (Monash University). Specialising in Anxiety/Depression, Trauma, Grief/Loss, Relationship issues, Stress and Anger Management.

Clients may be able to claim rebates for counselling with AHM, Medibank, St. Lukes, Phoenix Health, GUHealth, Doctors Health Fund, Emergency Services Health and Police Health Fund. To check eligibility of health fund benefits for counselling, contact your Health Insurance company directly. Mental Health Plans and referrals from doctors are NOT required.

Michelle also holds the position of Senior Consultant (Counsellor) for Australia’s leading corporate mental health provider delivering support to over one thousand organisations with Australia.
