I am a psychotherapist and counsellor practicing in Gordon. I have a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons).

My primary interest is working with individuals and families who are suffering the strain of coping with cancer and caring for aged parents.

With many women having to manage employment and the care of their families, as well as themselves, there are significant emotional, psychological and physical challenges for cancer sufferers, and for those caring for the aged.

I give my clients a space to talk about their cancer and caring for their aged parents, what it means to them and how they would like to manage it. I work with my clients to help find solutions and compromises that benefit both them and their loved ones.

I am interested in supporting my clients to create a healthy balance between caring for others and caring for themselves during this time.

My Approach to Therapy is largely solution focussed and coaching–in order to help you establish the behavioural change needed to live your life to the fullest. I am well versed in any other form of counselling. We are all different and in relation to people’s experiences and emotional needs “ One size does not fit all”

I have also extensively studied Sandplay therapy and Psychosomatics and find their interventions extremely beneficial and effective in therapy.

I will support you to identify your needs; identify your goals and to help you to explore a full range of interventions to assist with behaviour change that results in increased confidence, mastery and satisfaction as you manage challenging situations.
