Katrina is a registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association and holds a Bachelor of Counselling from the University of the Sunshine Coast. She provides both short- and long-term psychotherapy and counselling for individuals, and is currently completing Gottman training in couples work. Katrina welcomes both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients into her practice, and also works with NDIS participants. She supports adults and young people aged 13+, offering services in walk-and-talk therapy, online sessions, and face-to-face appointments.
Using an integrative and holistic approach, Katrina draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness practices, and expressive therapy tools. By tailoring therapy to each individual, she ensures that clients receive support that honours the whole person—their mind, body, experiences, and strengths. Her work commonly supports people navigating stress, anxiety, late ADHD diagnosis, trauma, grief and loss, and significant life transitions.
Katrina’s therapeutic values centre around safety, compassion, understanding, connection, and collaboration. She believes in fostering self-empowerment while respecting each client’s autonomy to make their own choices throughout the therapeutic journey. Her counselling style is warm, steady, and grounded in evidence-based practice.
Katrina’s aim is to provide an environment that nurtures growth, resilience, and meaningful change. She is committed to ongoing personal and professional development to ensure the highest quality of care, while supporting clients to build internal resources, increase wellbeing, and develop a stronger sense of self-compassion.
