John’s mission is to empower people to be leaders of their own lives, responsible for their wellbeing and able to recognise and overcome the self-imposed limitations shaped by unconscious core beliefs.
With over 30 years’ experience working across addictions, mental health, disability support, counselling, coaching, teaching and training, John has developed a deep and grounded understanding of the human condition.
In recent years, John has also worked extensively within FIFO and remote work environments, supporting individuals living under sustained pressure, isolation, fatigue, and the cumulative impact of high-stress roles. This experience has deepened his understanding of how unresolved trauma, identity strain, and emotional suppression often surface in high-functioning people who are expected to “just keep going.”
He believes communication is central to meaningful connection and that trust is the foundation upon which all healing relationships are built. John has a natural ability to create a safe, relational space where people feel seen, heard, and unencumbered in expressing their deepest concerns.
John’s lived experience, combined with his academic and professional training, enables him to work skillfully with individuals and families who carry trauma histories. He is able to deconstruct presenting problems in a way that makes sense to the client, and to work collaboratively toward practical, meaningful steps that often bring immediate relief, while laying the groundwork for deeper therapeutic work over time.
John is fearless when it comes to joining his clients in their darkest moments in order to assist them with creating a meaningful, step-by-step process towards reaching each client’s individual goals. He keeps his clients accountable for following through with each step while marking each small victory as it is achieved. He is a true champion of the human spirit’s capacity to heal, regardless of the size or complexity of the misfortune faced.
As a Christian, John understands that lasting change requires more than insight alone. Unless there is a change of heart, which is the unconscious mind, true transformation remains limited. John works at the heart of the matter, helping people identify and clear Unconscious Core Beliefs (UCBs) that disempower them and keep them bound to unresolved emotional residue from the past.
What often prevents people from experiencing a fulfilling relationship with God is not a lack of faith, but the presence of unconscious beliefs that quietly undermine trust, surrender, and freedom. As the Apostle Paul reflects, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Why is it that we know what to do and fail to do it, and know what not to do yet keep repeating the same patterns?
By integrating appropriate trauma-informed processes with a genuine desire to be set free, the work moves beyond effort and into transformation. As emotional and cognitive burdens are released, space is created for deeper spiritual connection and a more authentic relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
