Introduction

I know you need more than someone just “nodding and smiling”, or lecturing you on how to “grow a thicker skin” when you are in pain. I create a safe place for you to be yourself without shame, learn why your mind works the way it does, and then translate that knowledge in to action that you personally choose ― with you in control.

I specialise in helping clients who feel unable to control the present because of trauma and other adversity. I take time to know the entire of you, what is important, and what you need. I involve you in therapy so that we progress at a pace safe for you, and your feelings are taken seriously and honoured. My counselling approach is evidence-based, though I am not simply informed by academia, but by lived experience ― perhaps similar to your experiences. I simplify therapy by guiding you through the process of choosing what actions will help you, in accessible language.

I work with clients across Australia via telephone and video conference, and in-person in Melbourne in my offices or via home visit. I keep my pricing affordable and offer discounts for holders of concession cards, Seniors’ Cards, and student cards. I provide a free 15-minute introductory call to complete intake and become familiar with your goals.

All appointments are 60 minutes long. Concession pricing applies to clients with a government-issued concession card (including Seniors’ Cards) or student card, or with self-managed or plan-managed National Disability Insurance Scheme (N.D.I.S.) funding eligible to be used for counselling.
