Introduction

John Cuturilo is Your Listener, based in Dandenong VIC, Australia. John is an empathic, approachable, and knowledgeable counsellor who provides services remotely across Australia, in his offices in Clayton and Beaconsfield Upper, and via home visit in his catchment area. John’s history has seen him work with a broad range of clients from diverse cultures and backgrounds, with a range of complex needs. With a unique ability to understand the mind, communicate, and help people to feel at ease, he is passionate about helping people to overcome challenges, learn about how their minds work, and become more independent problem-solvers. His approach combines evidence-based techniques with wisdom from his own and clients’ lived experiences. Striving to address shortfalls in common mental health practice, he is sensitive to each client’s needs while thoroughly exploring each relevant aspect of their lives, offering unique insights in to human functioning and mental health, and as much as possible, taking each appointment as an opportunity to help them learn a new idea or develop a new action that they can take regularly to help them achieve their goals — ultimately empowering them to face their challenges. He works with a broad range of clients and issues, with specialisations in trauma, relational matters, healthy habits, and men’s and seniors’ mental health. He wants to be seen as a human being just like his clients. John also speaks regularly in broadcast media on mental health and other psychological topics. Contact John to discuss your needs.
