I have done extensive work with people from a variety of cultures and I believe in the importance of supporting clients in a culturally respectful manner. I have worked with the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender) community and supported a number of GLBT clients. I also have experience working with adolescents and young people.
I believe we all have the internal resources and the desire to live a fulfilling life and to get through difficult times. As a psychotherapist, my aim is to provide an opportunity for us to explore your internal experience, to help you find clarity and gain a better understanding of yourself. This can allow you to make positive changes in your life, strengthen your capacity to deal with things constructively and find ways to a more joyful and fulfilling life. The therapeutic relationship is a unique relationship that offers you a safe space to find out and to be who you really are. A space to be accepted, understood, seen, held, challenged and supported in your journey towards gaining greater awareness and exercising conscious choice. For me psychotherapy is a joint creative journey tha we embark on together, finding ways of being that are satisfying and fulfilling for you. It can indeed be a life transforming experience.
